THE PHOTOSHOOT EXPERIENCE
HOW YOUR PORTRAIT / HEADSHOT SESSION WORKS
1. Tell me what you know
Firstly tell me what you’re looking for. Don’t worry if you don’t know, I have a few questions to channel and gather your ideas.
While we’re looking for style, values and purpose we also want the technical bits. Like where & how you’re going to use them. If that scares you, I can help you drill that down.
Honest truth? Most people aren’t exactly sure when they start out.
2. Ideas flow…
Secondly, we build up a moodboard together – or you can leave me to come up with suggestions. This stage forms the direction of your shoot – the who, the where, the clothes, props, backgrounds etc.
Then if a new wardrobe & props are needed, this is the time to go shopping!
3. Shoot Day!
Next, with everything in place, so you just need to arrive well rested and allow me to direct you, put you at ease and enjoy the session.
There’ll probably be music, laughter and conversation, and time and space for you to change outfits.
4. Editing your images
The last bit of magic happens here… Eagerly await your image gallery while I do the hard work!
This last stage does take time to select and edit your images. While each project is different and turnaround can be fast, you should know that your images don’t come out of the camera ready to go. But once that gallery arrives in your inbox, get ready to smile!
